Nadar Tubarão Baleia / Por Ovos das Tartarugas Marinhas

Penso que começou no dia 15 de Maio a época do tubarão baleia, ou seja as pessoas podem nadar com estes belos e enormes animais ou mesmo avista-los de costa ou nos barcos.

Na Isla Mujeres ou em Cozumel parecem ser os locais indicados.


Começou também a época decolocar os ovos das tartarugas marinhas por toda a riviera maya.

If you want to learn more about our lovely endangered species, join our Turtle Walks which will start Monday, May 21, at 9PM. We don't take reservations online or by phone; you need to come to the CEA Center and book your place directly with our staff members.


CEA is the only organization with permission to work with these creatures in our area and to take 10 people with us each night. Beware of tour operators or public transportation businesses that offer you this service.
Season:
  • May--October 2012 -- Monday through Friday -- 9 PM to Midnight
  • Groups limited to 10 people -- NO RESERVATIONS in advance online or by phone
  • Donation: Adults, $15 US/$180 pesos; children 12 and under, $10 US/$120 pesos
We ask that you please:
  • Wear sneakers or sturdy walking shoes (no sandals).
  • Be prepared to walk up to 3 miles without the use of flashlights.
  • Refrain from using mosquito repellent, perfume or cologne. (Long sleeves/pants recommended)
  • Bring a water bottle and bag to collect any trash you see on the beach.

Swim with Whale Shark Tours

Swimming with Whale Sharks! You will swim with our fully licensed, expert diver/guides. You’ll swim with these magnificent sharks that feed on plankton, algae and krill. All Swimmers will get to swim with the sharks or you may just observe and take photos from the boat. You can either use your own equipment or ours. We bring fresh fruit, soft drinks and water aboard. On the way back to Isla Mujeres we stop at one of the reefs near the isla where you will be treated to Fresh Ceviche and time to Snorkel before returning to shore.

Swim with the world’s largest fish, measuring up to 18 meters in length. Open boat tours, maximum 10 guests. All tours are in the pristine open water in the natural environment of the Caribbean Ocean. $125 USD per person. Register online

Whale Shark Tours leave at 8am from the Gas Dock 100yds to the left of the Ferry dock Downtown Isla Mujeres.

Private Tours are the only way we do charters to Swim with Sail Fish, this is an Extream Sport Experience and the minimum age is 16. Perfect for Divers, Professional Photographers and Videographers.
These tours have about a 60% rate , so multiple days are suggested to insure encounters that give you the Face time you need to get the ideal shot.
Private tours include fresh fruit, soft drinks, Sandwiches and water.

Na zona da praia entre o GBP Tulum e o Oásis Akumal, vi no dia 8 de Maio uma tartaruga enorme a vir ao areal colocar os seus ovos... Fiquei a assistir, ao longe, mas infelizmente não tinha a máquina comigo... Foi um momento memorável...

Ainda bem que não tinhas a máquina, é uma experiência magnífica que não tive ainda a oportunidade de ver, mas tirar fotos é "proibido" e quem gosta deste tipo de experiências deve respeitar isso, para não prejudicar o ambiente natural das tartarugas.
