Novas regras para o Check-in online a partir de 13 de Junho

Quem não efetuar a reserva de lugar só vai poder fazer check-in online 48 Horas ante do voo em vez dos 4 dias atualmente em vigor.

Estas regras aplicam-se a novas reservas e reservas já efetuadas para voos a partir de 13 de Junho.
Millions of passengers booked on Ryanair flights this summer are being warned that they can check in only 48 hours before departure.

The airline is making life tougher for travellers who choose not to pay extra for assigned seating.

Until two years ago, passengers could check in online up to a week before departure, which worked well for many people on seven-day holidays.

In 2016, Ryanair reduced the window for check in to just four days, saying the move was in response to "extensive customer feedback".

However, from June 13, just as the summer holiday season begins, the airline's check-in window is about to narrow sharply.

At present a passenger with a late flight at, say, 8pm on a Friday can check in from Monday morning onwards. But the new policy means free check-in will not open until 8pm on Wednesday.

Alternatively, passengers can pay a fee - typically €4 per person, per flight - for assigned seating, and will then be able to check in up to two months ahead of departure.

The change applies to existing reservations as well as new bookings.

Penso que não existe qualquer inconveniente... aliás continua a ser das companhias aéreas que dão mais margem de tempo para checkin online... inclusive mais que a TAP, 36h

Uma questão, há por aqui alguém que tenha viajado recentemente na Ryanair sem embarque prioritário??
Será que me pode dizer como foi o procedimento? Teve de fazer check-in da mala que vai para o porão ou foi com a mala até à porta de embarque??
Desde já muito obrigada ;)

É tudo igual como antigamente. Só que a porta de embarque a tua mala é etiquetada e depois tens que a deixar junto da aeronave.
Não é necessário fazer o check-in no balcão antes do raio-x.

Nos 2 voos que fiz, todas as que as pessoas que não têm no bilhete embarque prioritário têm ido para o porão... :cool:

Devo colocar 00000000-1-zz4 ou 00000000 1 zz4 (com espaços) ou só 0000000 sem os ultimos digitos.

Nova Política de Bagagens para voos a partir de 1 de Novembro

A partir de 1 de Novembro, os clientes que não tenham embarque prioritário vão ter de pagar para levar uma mala, 8€ se comprada na reserva inicial ou 10€ se adicionada até 40 minutos antes da partida do voo. A bagagem extra pode também ser adicionada no aeroporto, subindo neste caso o valor para 25€. Esta bagagem tem de ser despachada para o porão no balcão de check in.

Apenas será permitido levar um item pessoal com as dimensões de 40 x 20 x 25cm, um ligeiro aumento face às medidas anteriores, 35 x 20 x 20cm.

A Ryanar justifica esta medida com a necessidade de reduzir os atrasos nos voos.

From 01st November 2018, non-priority customers who wish to bring a second larger wheelie bag (10kg weight) must purchase the 10kg Check-in Bag for €/£8 if purchased during the initial flight booking, or €/£10 if added online after booking up to 40 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time. The 10kg wheelie bag must be deposited at the airport bag drop desk prior to entering security. Please be advised this new bag option is available to purchase from the 01st September 2018 for travel on/after 01st November.

Non-priority customers who have not added a bag to their booking can still purchase a 10kg wheelie bag at the airport bag drop desk for €/£20 or €/£25 at the boarding gate.

Main benefits of this new policy will be reduced flight delays and cheaper checked bag option. Additional advantages for customers will be the ability to pack more liquids into their 10kg checked wheelie bag and walk to the boarding gate 'hands free.' We have also increased the permitted size of the free small carry-on bag by 43% from 35 x 20 x 20cm to 40 x 20 x 25cm.”

Some questions you might have:

How is this different from the previous carry-on bag policy?

Previously, all non-priority customers could bring 1 (small) carry-on bag and 1 bigger (wheelie) bag free of charge. The bigger bag was tagged at the gate and put in the hold (for free). This led to the tagging of up to 120 free gate bags which caused delays to 25min turnarounds. From November, non-priority customers can only bring 1 free (small) carry-on bag – there will be no free gate bags. Only priority customers can continue to bring two free bags. (1 small carry-on + 1 wheelie bag)

What about customers who have already booked flights before 1 September for travel on/after 1 Nov?

The new bag policy will apply to all travel on/after 1 November. Non-priority customers who booked flights before 1 September (for travel after 1 Nov) can either add Priority Boarding for €/£8* or a 10kg bag for €/£10* or they may cancel their booking for a full refund. *(price when added after booking)

What happens if my small bag doesn't fit in the sizer?

If non-priority customers’ 1 free small bag doesn’t fit then they will pay a gate bag fee of €/£25 and their bag will be tagged and placed in the hold.

Where does the small bag go on board?

Small bags must be able to fit under the seat in front of you.

How many wheelie bags can you fit on board?

Approx. 100 wheelie bags will fit in the overhead lockers which more than facilitates all priority passengers.

What happens if more than 100 customers want to buy Priority Boarding?

They can’t - Priority Boarding is capped at 95 customers per flight (out of 189 guests).

What about infants; can parents still bring an extra changing bag?

Yes, a small (5kg) baby bag may be also carried free of charge by customers traveling with an infant. (Any child under 2 years)

What about customers with waivers for medical items?

Medical equipment can still be brought on board free of charge subject to preclearance by our special assistance team.

Que grandes.... FDP*****

para quem tem reservas... acho que compensa neste momento adicionar 7€ para ter embarque prioritário que depois dia 1 set fica a 8€ so a mala de 10Kg.

Tenho reserva para Janeiro e se calhar adiciono só 1 priority e eu levo um pequeno mochila (deve dar) não vou dar quase mais pela mala que pelo meu lugar!
